Vicky Wood - Pre-School Leader - BA (Hons) P.G.C.E.

Vicky is a fully qualified leader who has worked in pre-schools in the UK and abroad for many years. She has also worked in primary schools and with children with special educational needs. A mother of three, Vicky is passionate about giving children space to learn in an outdoor environment. In addition to her pre-school work she teaches at Craven College across a range of Level 3, 4 and 5 courses in Children’s Care Learning and Development.

Hobbies: Extreme off-road mountain biking (all the gear, no idea!)

Jeannette Pickles - Pre-School Deputy Leader - Dip in Pre-School Practice; Cert Ed

Jeannette is married and has two grown-up children. She has a wealth of experience working in pre-schools and successfully ran Beamsley Pre-School for a number of years. Jeannette has also taught at Craven College on Level 3 courses in Children’s Care Learning and Development and is a qualified assessor for NVQs in Early Years.  As All Saints’ student development officer Jeannette mentors all students who join us at pre-school as part of their studies. She holds a current First Aid certificate.

Hobbies: Travelling to exotic places with Mr Pickles.

Suzanne Spencer - Pre-School Assistant - NVQ Level 3 Early Years

Having clocked up around 18 years at All Saints’ Pre-School, Mrs Spencer is our longest serving member of staff. Mother of four grown up children, she has completed a range of complementary training courses with Bradford Early Years Service and also holds a current First Aid certificate. Mrs Spencer supports our children who have special educational needs.

Hobbies: Going to gigs and blogging about lady Ga-Ga.

Michelle Sheehan- Pre-School Assistant - NVQ Level 3 Early Years

Mrs Sheehan, mother of two, has been at All Saints’ for a number of years. She has worked in both pre-schools and primary schools, supporting children with additional needs. Mrs Sheehan has completed additional Bradford Early Years Service training and also holds a current First Aid certificate and Level 2 Hygiene certificate.

Hobbies: Making the best cakes! And decorating them too!

Mrs Helen Pilling - Pre-School Assistant - NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care Education and Development

Helen, a mother of three children, has completed her NVQ Level 3 at All Saints’ and is the pre-school’s Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. She holds a current First Aid certificate. Helen is also the chair of governors at All Saints’ C of E Primary School and volunteers at school in a number of capacities. She is our musically talented staff member.

Hobbies: Stand up comedy and piano recitals.

Karen Smith - Pre-School Assistant - Working towards Diploma Level 3 in Children’s Care Education and Development

Karen, mother of one, is the newest member of our team and is currently working towards her Level 3 qualification. She holds a current First Aid certificate.

Hobbies: Train spotting and paragliding.

All Saints’ Pre-School Playgroup is committed to supporting training and education. This means that from time to time students from Ilkley Grammar School or local colleges will join us to expand their knowledge of children. They will be supervised at all times and all will have undergone the appropriate checks and induction.

Your Committee

We are a committee-run organisation and rely on the hard work of volunteer members. Committee members are voted in at the AGM in the autumn term each year and we always welcome new and existing parents onto the committee.

It is a rewarding position which allows you to be involved in the development of a great organisation and with our fabulous young children.
